1. Who We Are

Garuda Intelligence & Security Services Pvt. Ltd. (“Garuda Intelligence”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a corporate intelligence, investigation and risk advisory firm headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of every person who visits our website, contacts us, or engages our services.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it and the rights available to you. It is drafted in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable rules, and reflects our certifications under ISO/IEC 27001 (information security) and ISO/IEC 27701 (privacy information management).

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide: name, organization, designation, email address, phone number and the details you share when you fill our contact form, call us, email us, or message us on WhatsApp, including a description of the matter you wish to discuss.

Engagement information: where you retain our services, we collect information reasonably necessary to scope and deliver the engagement, always under a signed engagement letter and non-disclosure agreement.

Technical information: basic analytics data such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), browser type and referring page. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell visitor data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, provide and administer our services, verify identity where required by law, maintain engagement records, improve our website and comply with legal and regulatory obligations. We do not use your data for third-party marketing, and we never disclose the existence or content of a client engagement except as required by law.

4. Confidentiality of Investigations

Confidentiality is the foundation of our profession. Information gathered in the course of an investigation is collected only through lawful and ethical means, is handled on a strict need-to-know basis within our team, is reported only to the retaining client and is protected by contractual, technical and organizational safeguards. We decline assignments that would require unlawful surveillance, unauthorized interception of communications, or access to protected records without legal basis.

5. Data Security

We maintain an ISO/IEC 27001-certified information security management system. Safeguards include encryption of data in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, segregated case files, secure evidence handling with chain-of-custody logs, employee confidentiality undertakings and periodic security audits. In the unlikely event of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by the DPDP Act.

6. Data Retention

Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months. Engagement records are retained for the period required by law and professional standards, after which they are securely destroyed. You may request earlier deletion of your enquiry data at any time, subject to legal retention obligations.

7. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with: (a) service providers who support our operations under strict confidentiality (e.g., secure hosting), (b) professional advisers where necessary and (c) courts, law-enforcement or regulators where disclosure is required by law. Where our work involves trusted research partners in other jurisdictions, data is shared only to the extent necessary and under contractual confidentiality.

8. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies and a preference cookie to remember your day/night theme choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to access a summary of your personal data, request correction or erasure, nominate a representative and raise a grievance. Write to info@garudaintelligence.in and we will respond within the statutory timelines. If unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children

Our website and services are directed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Where an investigation lawfully concerns the welfare of a minor (for example, a court-directed custody matter), data is handled with heightened safeguards and only under proper legal authority.
